EPOS - Vouchers

INTRODUCTION
Although vouchers are still in Agility more sites now use Gift Cards as this promotes branding and have the ability to be topped up and no need to reissue vouchers when something is bought for less.

CREATE A VOUCHER
Go to Nominal\Ledger Maintenance\Countries and Currencies\Set Up Vouchers for Sale



Voucher No: Type the number and then TAB following message appears

Select YES 
Enter the Currency by selecting the search glass
Now enter the Value and the SAVE button is enabled
Select Save
When finished this is seen showing the voucher has now been added.
This can then be sold which follows later.

Now select the button EXIT this closes the form.

ADDING a RANGE of VOUCHERS

Select Add Range and enter from to numbers, Fill Factor set to 4 for the above example, currency and value
Select SAVE

PARAMETERS
There is a parameter that can be set for change given for a voucher
Go to : Tools\Tools Menu\System Parameters\EPOS System Parameters



This means if a voucher is valued at €/£20 and the customer purchases items up to €/£15 the staff member can give them €/£5 in change.
This can be changed here.

SEARCH for a VOUCHER
Navigate the same way as creating and then select the search glass above where the voucher no. is and a list of vouchers will be seen.
When returned the form will show the status.

SELLING a VOUCHER
Agility lets vouchers be sold in two ways:
Open EPOS
1. Type voucher and enter the voucher number this does not have to be one created in advance and then enter the value.
2. Same as above but this time using the voucher number already created and the value will not be asked for.
The following box will open

Now enter the voucher number 

Enter the value
Then take payment as normal.
NOTE:
When selling a voucher there is no VAT charged as no items have been sold and this also hits the Voucher Liability account as a credit as the company owes the customer goods to that value.
Once the voucher is redeemed the Voucher Liability account has a debit cancelling out the liability.


REVERSE a REDEMPTION
Go to Nominal\Ledger Maintenance\Countries and Currencies\Set Up Vouchers for Sale
Search for the voucher

Now Select REVERSE REDEEM

Select YES

CANCEL
This button actually cancels the voucher
