Sales - Restricting External Vouchers

- It is now possible to restrict vouchers to external vouchers only.
Voucher Set Up
Nominals/Ledger Maintenance/Countries and Currencies/Set Up Vouchers for sale. External Vouchers must be allocated to a promotion. These can be set up in advance – if not the promotion will default to “Other” and a description will have to be entered.
If the parameter to restrict to external only is set the screen will be displayed as
This is where external voucher promotions are set up. In the above example two promotions have been set up. These are for Chamber of commerce vouchers that can be used in all stores in these towns. Note that you can stop a promotion by using the stop button. (Clicking stop on a stopped promotion will ask you if you wish to restart the promotion)
If you accept your own vouchers as well as external vouchers the standard screen to set up internal vouchers now has the Promotions button to get to external promotions as described above.
Selling An External Voucher
If you participate in a town voucher scheme you may sell external vouchers. Enter the voucher code as normal
If you have restricted the system to external vouchers only the following screen will be displayed
Enter the voucher number, promotion , description if relevant and value and then click on Save.
If you sell your own vouchers the same screen is displayed but the External Voucher option will not be selected. To sell an external voucher click on this option otherwise the voucher will be set up as an internal voucher. (To avoid user error make sure you always set up internal vouchers in advance)
Redeem External Voucher
To redeem an external voucher, click on the Voucher button. If the system is restricted to external vouchers only the following screen is displayed.
Enter the external voucher number, 100 and promotion (with description if required) and the on save.
If internal vouchers are enabled the system will display the following screen
Enter the external vouchers numer in the voucher No field. The system will try to match against an internal voucher first. It will not find a match and so will display the following message
Click Yes to display the external voucher redemption screen
And complete the fields as above.
Report
Agility Insight now has new reports to report on voucher sales and redemptions (both external and internal) between dates.
