INTRODUCTION
Credit Rules work in conjunction with the credit terms and days assigned to the debtors\customers accounts.
First thing that needs to be done is assign the terms and days then when sales are done the days are recorded against each transaction,
CREDIT CONTROL MESSAGES
Credit Control messages also allow a sale or prevent a sale and these need to be set up.
To set these up got the ribbon menu and select the envelope and a list is shown, now select Credit Control Messages.
CREDIT MESSAGES
There are 3 scenarios:
On Hold,
Credit Exceeded and
Aged Invoice
These are linked to the customer's account and when sales are being done these scenarios and actions are being checked
There are 2 Actions
Do not Process or
Process as normal
If an account is on hold and the action is do not process, then the message that is typed in the box will appear to the user.
It is good practice to enter a message.
CHANGING MESSAGE AND RULES
When making changes to the rules ensure that the tick box "Default Message is selected when the SAVE button is pressed.
Person to notify is a drop-down list of users on the system which can be selected if a system message is to be sent to them.
Pending on the scenario many use the message that appears at the POS\Till with instructios to contact someone before proceeding.
