Update Stock Records - Suspend or Close

INTRODUCTION

In all businesses the stock file increases with stock that is no longer purchased or sold.

Within Agility the function to update stock records can do this.

Identify the codes that need to be suspended or closed.

NOTE: Suspend basically prevents the purchase of stock but sales still proceed. Close prevents purchasing and selling the code and the quantity must be 0 for this to work.

CREATE FILE

Create the file with two columns:

To Suspend

stkcode, Suspend

Andy      S

To Close

stkcode, Close

Andy      C

The column header can be titled anyway for the user to recognise.

UPDATE

Tools>Tools Menu>Import>Import Stock Records

Question: Are you continuing with import from a previous data load - NO

Question: Is this an update File - YES

Select the file from where you have saved it

Add the following fields by selecting them and pressing the single arrow to move to the right

Stkcode

Close(C)/Suspend(Y)

If there are column headers on the CSV file select Ignore Column Headers

Select OK

Select LOAD

Select Import
